This place was the breakfast highlight of our trip to Monte Rio/Guerneville. The food options were unique and delicious - I highly recommend the French O. I was also pleasantly surprised by the espresso quality and execution (something you might not expect to find in a small town).
Please keep doing what you're doing!! -

Great cafe, everything you need in a beautiful setting!
Had a couple delicious coffees and yummy food.
Try the avo-egg bagel.
Don't be disappointed if they are out of your first choice for food, things are made fresh and they seem to run out of their more popular options like Shakshuka.
Everything here seems to be done with quality & love. May not be the fastest ever service, but I can tell they think about efficiency and do their best.
Wifi is great. No complaints. Delighted to be spending time at this time. I only write Yelp reviews when a place goes above and beyond. This place does. -

Born and raised in NYC I still miss the incredible eats I grew up with. The staggering variety, the superior quality (when you're competing, your product better be good!), the sometimes unpronounceable international treats I never dreamed existed. And now, like an exotic flower blooming where you'd least expect it, comes Lightwave named for owners Ori and Gal because in Hebrew ori means "light" and gal means "wave". How cool is that?
A hop and a skip from the bustling hubbub in downtown Monte Rio, Lightwave sits close by a skatepark and itself, feels like it's more outdoors than in.
I had the shakshuka a few mornings ago and it lifted my mood instead of my belly! A week ago I had the French Oligarch with ham, brie, soft egg, onion, jam, greens (the olive oil is the best I ever tasted) on a croissant and it was a bargain at $9. One of those meals you write home about and I guess that's what I'm doing here.
They also offfered "weekend specials" of vegetable stew, Burekas plate, Alaska style (Brioche, salmon, beet), and I hear Ori cures the lox he offers, himself.
Lightwave is country, peaceful, welcoming, , fit for families and loners alike, and full of delicious surprises and fair prices.
You should also know that Ori collects old and vintage radios, several of which are on display, so if you have an 1950s Sylvania you'd like to unload, (and you're planning to stop by) bring it with you. -

We tried the shakshuka, lox bagel and coffee. The shakshuka and sauces that comes with it was very flavorful. That was a great start to day!

This place serves the absolute best Israeli breakfast this side of the Mississippi. You have to try the shakshuka, the sabich, burekas, and Turkish coffee, which are all standard menu items, along with many more. You will be blown away by the options and the quality. Very, very easy to go full vegetarian here without even trying (but they do also serve meat dishes).
Go and meet this charming young couple making a name for themselves in west Sonoma County, and ask them how they came up with the name for their venture.
